Wheeling Pug Relay USA - Quarantine Edition!

Twice a year, a fearless group of wheelin’ Pugs partake in the virtual Wheeling Pug Relay, racing across America, passing a baton from Pug-to-Pug to raise awareness that losing one’s mobility does NOT need to mean a loss of one’s life!

From the birthplace of the nation - Virginia, all the way to the Big Island of Hawaii. These bold, trailblazing Pugs virtually wheel over 4,700 hundred miles over multiple time zones to show the world that mobility issues, are really NOT issues at all!

But, when the Covid-19 pandemic hit, the whole world turned upside down:
…social distancing became the norm
...the markets went bonkers
…everyone started doing pushups on IG, and
… toilet paper replaced oil as the World’s Most Valuable Commodity! (just kidding – or am I?)
 
Just when it seemed like the Wheeling Pug Relay would have to be cancelled – just like every other event this spring – a very empowering realization set in: “mobility issues and their impact on our lives don’t stop because of a pandemic – so WHY SHOULD WE?!”.
 
Well friends, the Wheeling Pug Relay USA, QUARANTINE EDITION was born! This is the first ever, completely unprecedented “Quarantine Edition”. Instead of passing a baton from Pug to Pug – it will be distributed across the country via overnight delivery (in keeping with the proper social distancing etiquette, of course).
